It often means that the person who is hiring you doesn't know much about the appr. 20 tools which are all included in the Creative Suite (which is called Creative Cloud since 2012) no living person is able to know all the tools equally well, so as long as you know the long standing popular core set (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) you'll be fine...
