No, not at all.
But maybe your installation of InDesign can't discretely store its saviour files anymore. To restore unsaved files after a crash, InDesign stores these strange .idlk files, safe-guarding you from losing your work. These are normally and automatically stored next to the earlier saved files, in the same folder, or in a special system directory when the file has never been saved before.
But to do so, InDesign needs writing access to these locations !
Depending on your configuration, such access might not be available. E.g. when you're working on files directly off a network server, or when your system doesn't allow storing files locally.
