There are three parts to my answer:

1. You don't add fonts to Creative Cloud – you simply add fonts to your operating system.
2. Adobe grants you the right to a set of fonts, installed in a dedicated folder on your system.
3. You get access over 1000 families of cloud-based Adobe fonts (formerly called Typekit)

Fonts are always excluded from your files, except PDF (they always embed any necessary font), and InDesign package folders (which include a Font folder with all the necessary non-cloud-based fonts).
