There's already a plain vanilla QR code generator/editor in Adobe InDesign since version CS6 (2012). Unless you need more settings like a larger or smaller size (accommodating more or less encoded content) or funny patterns, this standard feature works perfect.

Barcodes are more complex. There are many types of barcodes (trade and region specific) and many ways to implement them, like this article also describes.

There are special fonts to type and encode your barcode manually, but this can be tiresome. Google a bit and you'll find many free fonts and guidelines to achieve what you need. This one for example: GS1 UPC EAN Barcode Fonts.

Another and much easier approach is to use an InDesign plugin, which will do the proper calculating, sequencing, and formatting for you.
