Many fonts (perhaps not "any") will do nicely, as long as it's legible from a distance (concerning size, clarity, contrast, sharpness).

But to make clear that it's a quote, you might consider picking a different font than the usual one for your brand or corporate style. A style guide often includes a secondary font, or already explicitly states the proper use of a font family (and its variations within).

Using bold as a difference will emphasize the message in a somewhat shouting way (if that's your goal). Using an italics will add a more reflective touch to the quote. Bold and italic together really stands out, but might be a bit too much.

Using "quote marks" also helps to show immediately that it's a quote – duh – but sometimes they look a bit out of place. Not to mention the general uproar about which ones to use. Many countries and languages use different rules for the specific glyphs and their curly versions.

So there are lots of choices, as long as you don't use ALL CAPS (unless it's just a few words, not a sentence) or Comic Sans (unless it's a child uttering something).
