The RGB color system is a technical description of how light is being mixed by using three key colors: Red, Green, and Blue. I think it's not about whether people are intrinsically drawn to RGB, but the fact that its application has to do with light, in contrast to CMYK, which is a system to mix printing colors in inks, which always seem less bright (as simulated on screens) in comparison with RGB.
